Having sailed all night, Seabourn Encore arrived at the Mirabella Bay of Agios Nikolaos at about 8 o’clock this morning.
After a walk through the little town of the island of one million, we took a train ride along their hilly coast.
The island abounds with olive and carob plantation. Part of the people’s occupation is fishing as well as tourism. The place is quite colourful. Lots of fish.
Pauline Theva-Aksorn Haldemann is a Bangkokian by birth but has been living abroad (this time) since beginning of 1971. Educated in Thailand and abroad, she’s married to a Swiss and has a daughter who lives and works in Switzerland. Pauline and her husband also own a second home in Phuket, Thailand.
