PIWC (Phuket International Women’s Club) ชมรมสตรีนานาชาติภูเก็ต held its annual general meeting today at Novotel in Phuket.
While some new committee members have been elected, the President, Maggy Wigman Bilgen, will serve another term of one year.
There’re 132 members, consisting of 33 nationalities. The main purpose of PIWC is to foster friendship among all nations, living on the island and to make living here more enjoyable and above all to raise funds for needy students in Phuket.
At present there’re 154 scholarship recipients receiving financial help in their studies. A truly worthwhile cause and I’m proud to be a tiny part of it.
The meeting was followed by a scrumptious lunch which was enjoyed by all.
